Helen Cox is a dance artist, choreographer and entrepreneur. Born in Canada and based in London since 2012, Helen is currently working freelance for the Royal Opera House, Royal Ballet School and Trinity Laban. As a dancer she has performed work by James Cousins, Darren Ellis, Helena Franzen, Crystal Pite, and Hofesh Shechter. Helen is founder and director of Children’s Contemporary Dance and [openclass] for professional dancers.
Helen has made pieces for theatre, galleries and festivals. Her last piece, double pendulum was performed at The Place, The Bunker Theatre, AGITART Festival (Spain) and in collaboration with visual & food artist Inês Neto dos Santos in partnership with arebyte_Gallery.
Helen’s newest project, Bodies In Space, is in collaboration with sound designer Dougie Brown and is a new show that brings dance, sound design and science together through the use of NASA space data.
